The Grenå–Halmstad ferry line

Stenaline’s ferry Stena Nautica has operated the Halmstad–Grenå route since 1 February 2020. During weekdays, there are usually two departures daily in each direction. Weekend traffic can vary, but usually one trip goes in each direction on Sundays

Getting to and from the ferry

By car, bicycle and other vehicles

You can book tickets by vehicle all year round. Bicycles also count as vehicles. On foot

You can book a ticket without a vehicle during high season. High season for the ferry is usually from the end of June to the middle of August. If you have questions about tickets, please contact Stenaline. External link, opens in new window.

In Denmark, you can board the ferry right from Aarhus, by getting on the train that takes you directly to the ferry. Once in Halmstad, get on a bus that takes you directly to the Travel Centre/Halmstad C and stops in Stationsgatan, on the same side as the railway station building. If you are travelling from Halmstad, you board the ferry via a bus at the same place: Travel Centre/Halmstad C in Stationsgatan, on same side as the railway station building.
